VR and AR are forms of technology that can change the reality someone sees and experiences.

VR is an immersive experience. Typically, someone puts on Virtual Reality Goggles and they are immersed into a new 3D world. VR stimulates different senses (vision, hearing, and touch) and simulations can make the user feel like they are inside of a totally different world.

AR is an overlay on top of real world content. However, the overlay has no effect on the real world and cannot be seen unless viewed through technology. These overlays do not create a new, immersive world. Instead, they can enhance real life and offer new details and information to the viewer.

Cool Coin Counting

Cool Coin Counting is an interactive Augmented Reality app that allows children to use a smartphone or tablet camera to view hidden coins worth 5¢ around their classroom or home. They are then responsible for counting those coins along the way and putting them into the piggybank also located somewhere in the room. In the end they will check to make sure that their amount is correct.
This will allows teachers and parents to give students an exciting and interactive way to learn to count money. Virtual Reality and Augmented Reality are becoming more common in the classroom, and have been shown to help kids learn. These new learning techniques and strategies can be especially helpful in math, since it can give a difficult concept something more tangible and interactive.
